is a superior insulation produced by nature, and perfected
by Energy Control. All-natural wood fibers within the
product provide your home with the maximum protection
against high energy costs and cold, drafty walls.
The natural insulating properties of Energy Control cellulose simply perform
better. Unlike the man-made fiberglass and rockwool that only insulate one
way (trapped air between the fibers), cellulose insulates three ways. Energy
Control insulation has a wood fiber wall that is a superior insulator. It also
traps air spaces between fibers to buffer the flow of warm air, and then has
a hollow fiber that resists the transfer of heat. These three methods give
cellulose a real advantage over fiberglass.
Colorado University researchers reported that cellulose
performs over 25% better than fiberglass in warm climates
and nearly 40% better in cold weather conditions. Performance
tests prove that some fiberglass products can lose
20 to 40% of their effective R-values (resistance to
heat) in winter conditions. Cellulose
actually performs better in these conditions and Energy Control insulation
is guaranteed for as long as you own your home.
Energy Control cellulose products all carry the full nine point Underwriter's
Laboratory seal. This label gives you the assurance that our insulation has
passed all government standards and tests for cellulose insulation. Repeated
field tests have proven that cellulose increases the fire resistance of walls
up to 55% over fiberglass. Energy Control contains no asbestos, formaldehyde,
or man-made fibers. That all adds up to peace of mind for your family.
Energy Control cellulose tightens buildings against air infiltration better
than fiberglass batts. A study by the University of Colorado School of Architecture
and Planning found cellulose at least 35% better than fiberglass in stopping
air infiltration, the major cause of "drafty" homes. Stopping this
infiltration reduces the chance of condensation occurring, creating moisture
problems in your home. In addition, Energy COntrol cellulose provides "whisper
quiet" walls, making your home even more comfortable with its superior
sound deadening qualities.
Cellulose insulation is kind to the environment.
Our products are manufactured from 100% recycled fibers,
reducing the largest single component of the residential
waste stream. Cellulose requires much less energy to manufacture than mineral
fiber, reducing the strain on our natural resources. By reducing the amount
of energy required to heat and cool your home, it saves our natural resources,
and your hard earned dollars.
Insulating your home's walls and attic with Energy
Control cellulose will reduce your winter heat bills
and your summer cooling costs. Energy Control cellulose
is one of the few products you can install in your home that will actually
pay for itself. Demand the best. Demand the superior value of Energy Control

Energy Tech also insulates crawl spaces using either
a rigid foam or a two part foam on the side walls. We
will then install an insulated blanket on the floor which
prevents cold air from infiltrating up from the ground.
The rim joists located about the basement walls also
is a potential location for air infiltration. The cold
or warm air can penetrate the home and move up through
the floor. Energy Tech will seal each rim joist and any
protruding pipes to provide a comfortable living area.
